Native Swift: WhatsApp server exception
On iPhone and iPad, our Hostwatch connection is prepared automatically. The WhatsApp service stores its session, received history and translations; the server operator can access this data. Selected chats translate on the server while the app is closed. Audio processing requires confirmation; optional GPT Luna text processing requires separate OpenAI consent. Local notes and tasks stay on the device. Mac also supports a self-managed Go service. Teams, Outlook and Web Sync are deferred in Swift.

This policy applies to the tellwick app, tellwick.com, the web workspace and optional cloud sync.
Third-party messengers, email services and AI providers you choose operate under their own privacy policies.
2. What stays on your computer
In Electron, the work database and channel profiles stay on the device unless you enable sync or a remote provider. The separate web workspace does not receive:
If you choose a cloud AI provider, the content needed for a request is sent to that provider according to your settings.
- messenger passwords, session files, QR sessions or cookies;
- AI-provider keys or email credentials;
- attachments, media files or saved meeting recordings;
- commands to send messages.
3. Web account data
When you sign in through the identity platform, tellwick receives a verified email address and, when available, display name. We do not receive your password for that account.
We also store an internal user ID, role, account status, and creation and update dates.
4. Optional cloud sync
Sync stays off until you explicitly link a device. Settings let you choose inbox, task and note sync separately.
To provide the web workspace, the cloud database may store selected work records: task titles and descriptions, due dates, statuses, tags, notes, calendar events, source details and change history.
tellwick cloud sync is not end-to-end encrypted. Data is sent over a protected connection but stored in the form required for sync and display.
5. Devices and access security
We store a linked device's name and type, installation ID, last-active time and access-revocation status.
One-time link codes expire quickly. A permanent device token is stored in the cloud database only as a cryptographic hash. You can revoke device access.
6. How data is used
We do not sell personal data or use synced content for advertising profiles.
- to sign you in, provide the web workspace and sync;
- to protect accounts, diagnose errors and prevent abuse;
- to answer requests and manage access;
- to meet requirements applicable to the service operator.
7. Infrastructure and recipients
The site and its private database run on Hetzner in Germany. Cloudflare handles edge traffic; OpenAI Sites provides the account identity bridge and legacy downloads. These providers may process the network, identity and technical data needed for their roles. Native Hostwatch/Hetero processing and optional OpenAI text processing are described in the native policy above.
Data may also be disclosed when necessary to protect users, investigate abuse or comply with a binding lawful request.
8. Retention
Account and sync data is kept while the account is active and as needed to provide the service. Technical records and sync history may be kept longer for reliability, security and recovery.
Export and cloud-data deletion are available under Account. Email privacy@tellwick.com for corrections or other requests. After deletion, we retain only information required by law or reasonably needed for security.
9. Your choices and controls
- do not enable cloud sync;
- choose individual categories of synced data;
- revoke device access;
- download an export or delete the cloud account under Account;
- request a correction by email;
- sign out of the web account.
10. Policy changes
For material changes, we update the document date and, when reasonable, provide notice on the site or in the product.
